  • What is your capacity?

    Our indoor space can comfortably accommodate 120, but can seat a maximum of 160 for dinner. Please note that a guest count of 160 for an inside reception does not allow for space for dancing. Up to 180 guests may be seated for an indoor ceremony.

    Our outdoor space can comfortably accommodate 200+ guests.

  • What is your vendor policy?

    We have an open vendor policy which allows you to hire the caterer, bartender, photographer, etc. that fits your style and budget. All vendors must hold the proper licenses and commercial liability insurance.

    We are more than happy to provide recommendations of trusted vendor partners.

  • What is your alcohol policy?

    All alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bartender (not just a friend with an OLCC permit!). We allow hard alcohol, beer, wine, hard seltzer, and mixed drinks to be served during the duration of your event. The bar must close 45 minutes prior to event end time.

  • What is your pet policy?

    Pets are allowed in outdoor areas for ceremony and reception. Pets may be allowed in the ballroom for ceremony only upon request.

    Pets are not allowed in the lower level due to the numerous pieces of vintage furniture.

  • Do you have space to get ready?

    Yes! We have two getting ready suites available. Each getting ready suite has ample mirrors, outlets, soft seating, and private bathrooms with showers.

  • How much time do you get on-site?

    Our full day rentals mean just that: a FULL day. Wedding parties and vendors are allowed on-site as early as 8:00am. Earlier arrival times may be available.

    Music must be off by 10:00pm and we ask that guests and vendors are off-site no later than 11:00pm.

  • What is included in the rental?

    - A full day (8:00am - 11:00pm) at The Old Schoolhouse

    - Full access to the entire property (The Old Schoolhouse, garden, orchard)

    - Access to indoor getting ready spaces

    - Setup and breakdown of tables and chairs for both ceremony and reception

    - Setup and breakdown of buffet tables and bistro tables

    - Supportive venue staff with over 15 years of event experience

    - Access to Bellingar Estates Vineyard for photos (plus a discount on wine!)

  • What is Not Included?

    We do not currently offer:

    - In-house catering or bartending

    - Decor services

    - Day of coordination

    …But have wonderful vendor partners to recommend!

  • What rentals are available?

    NEW FOR 2026: We are offering a limited number of rentals that can be added on. Please inquire for specific details. Rental items include:

    - White linens

    - Battery operated tea lights, with or without glass votives

    - Battery operated candlesticks, with or without mismatched gold candlestick holders

    - Flatware (salad fork, dinner fork, dessert fork, teaspoon, dinner knife)

  • Do I need Insurance?

    Yes! Day of event insurance with host liquor liability is required. Insurance policies may be purchased through an online company such as EventHelper or WedSure. You can also contact your home or renters insurance agent for a quote.

  • What happens if it rains?

    Depending on guest count, our rain backup plan typically involves moving ceremony and reception to our indoor space. Couples are welcome to rent a tent for the garden in case of inclimate weather.

  • What is the deposit?

    We require a 50% deposit plus a refundable $500 security/cleaning deposit to secure your date.

  • Are LGBTQIA+ couples welcome?

    YES. Enthusiastically. All love is welcome at The Old Schoolhouse. We can also provide a list of queer-owned and queer-friendly vendors to help support your big day.
